what’s the aim of the puzzles?

You just have to find the best move/sequence of moves. Sometimes that's checkmate, or it can be other things like getting a promoted pawn, winning an exchange etc. Usually at the end of it the solution has given your side a winning position or an advantage. If you're not sure why the solution is good click the little magnifying glass and see the analysis.

Puzzles are easier to understand when you have done some of the lessons. Recommend doing the lessons on basic tactics, forced moves, and powerful moves. When you've done these, including the exercises, you'll be ready for puzzles and more likely to 'get' them. If you like books then I recommend Chess Tactics for Students by Bain.
Hi. Because I'm rubbish at it. I make terrible moves, blunder everything and dont enjoy it. I prefer a more thoughtful game where I have time to think and find better moves and coherent plans.

The point of the puzzles is to make you think like a chess player.
Feel free to post the ones you do not understand and you will get help.
