What's the best chess program for beginner/intermediate players?

Hello everyone. I am taking a long trip (three weeks) and want to bring chess with me when I go, but chess.com isn't an option. My question is: what chess program will be the best for offline play? I'm a beginner/intermediate player. Price doesn't matter.

For three weeks you should focus on one topic. At 1148 live I think for you that would be basic mating and material patterns so maybe reading that big 5000 tactic book and calculating everything in your head is best for now.

@Xilmi I forgot to add it's a Windows laptop.

So what are the best chess programs out there right now? I was going to get Fritz but they have lots of different versions and I'm confused as to which is the best option. Is Fritz good for new players?
