when playing someone with a suspicious accuracy ratio from their daily vs blitz/rapid

People can use reference materials when playing daily. Many do use them.
The use of database materials and books is completely legal in daily chess.
It really makes a difference in the type of game you get.

Yeah I am aware that the analyze tool is there, where you can move pieces around like a GM does in their mind. I personally try not to use that tool and I understand that's my choice and that alone is probably a huge factor in what I'm feeling. I didn't know about the database materials though that you speak of. I didn't know that was an option in daily chess.

Yes the opening database is there for use in Daily games and unfortunately some people do use it. What it amounts to is you're not playing them until the game is completely a new position. They are picking moves out of a list until either you make a mistake or it's a completely new game.
Where it causes problems is if you are actually playing the game instead of picking moves from the list, you will end up in a worse position no matter what. That doesn't mean you can't work your way out of it once the game deviates from the database, but it does mean no matter how well you play your opening or how much you studied it, the best you can do is an even position against those people.
It seems to be more common now. Either because my rating has increased some or because more people are playing that way. It's pretty much ruining Daily chess for me, and that's pretty much been all I've been playing.

Oh wow, I had no idea about this database! I can't believe the app would allow this, but I feel more sane knowing this could be an option my opponents are using.

I don't know how prevalent it is. Maybe it's just a matter of everybody being on chessable and learning opening Theory. I study the common openings and play those so it would make sense other folks study the same stuff. I'm sure if somebody chooses an opening that I study they feel the same way about me. It's just that having that database available to people fuels the paranoia. I know if it comes to a choice between picking moves from a list or losing, I'm going to lose.
