I just had a visual of some GM out there playing a TM OTB. So the TM uses some crazy opening like the "Rook Fianchetto" and all observers standing around silently give the "WTF" wrinkled eyebrow glance at the board, then after the GM gets mated, he slams his fists on the table, then jumps out of his chair and throws his hands in the air, shouting some bad words while the TM just sits there with a wicked grin on his face. Very much like the one in your avatar, troller. lolz.

Thank you so much for fixing my post. That was incredibly kind and you made me happy! :) As for the TM who was playing? I think it was a troll named Red Robin, a 2400 rated from Finland, If I'm not mistaken.

I think it's a similar process to showing a GM title. You have to take a picture of yourself with a Chess.com poster in your hands, and provide proof that you have earned the title.
you need a TM norm to get it. this means playing in a tournament that offers the norm AND winning the tournament by blitzing out moves in 2 hour+ time controls with troll moves.
i earned my TM norm back in like 2010, went 6.5/7 going full blitz mode even when i have hours of time left. also played troll moves that made my opponent think for so long that they eventually got into time trouble and lost.
