If I'm correct ( not a certainty lol ) the picture used by Oinquarki in his post is of Commadore Decker just as the Doomsday device is going to destroy his Spacecraft. Somehow I've managed to misplace my books that list all of the original Star Trek episodes however " the Doomsday Machine " seems to ring a bell. It was a very good episode and yes I do have a thread about Star Trek on the go ( and for chess games I'm with those folks that go with what comes up thru the default setting ).

Actually, that's wrong. The board is brighter green, and looks like marble.

This is how I prefer my board to look.
Just curious about others' taste. I use Alpha pieces on an orange board.
