Rook
Which chess piece do you think is the strongest (after the queen)?
Pawn
Pros: -great when the pawns connect, causing the opponent to become overwhelmed
-could team up with pieces to win the game
- en passant of course
- escorted by the king in K+P vs K endgames
Cons: -isolated/doubled pawns become opponent's target to win material
-isolated pawn in the endgame when your king is not in time to protect
-blocked isolated pawns
Knight
Pros: -closed position, could jump over the pieces
-nasty forks to win material
-when in a great outpost with pawns anchoring the knight
- good at blockading pawns
Cons: -open position, because the other pieces could drive the knight into a rim
-knight on a rim
-blockaded knight
- the great overwork tactic
-could only move like an the letter L shape two square straight and one to the left/right
Bishop
Pros:-open position, the bishop will become powerful in that place
- could team up with the pieces
- could go so fast
Cons:- closed position, bishops don't like that (and other pieces except knight hate that)
-bad diagonal
- could become trapped
- and of course the great overwork tactic, it effects all pieces
Rook
Pros: -rook on the 7th rank
-rook behind passed pawn
- could team up with pieces, it effects all pieces
Cons:- rook in front/beside of the passed pawn
- could be trapped
- when the pawns unite, it affects all pieces if the pieces don't work properly
Could only move straight
Queen:
Pros: -could move straight and diagonal
-open positions just like every piece(except knight) like
-could help pieces
Cons: closed position
Pawns unite
Overwork tactic
Getting chased in this opening line 1. E4, e6 2. Qh5 , causing the queen=trouble
King:
Pros: endgames
Castle ability
Cons: could only move one square at any direction
The king should safe
Broken castle where the king is in the broken castle
IT IS IMPORTANT, so, if a discovered attack against the queen with check happens, then you will lose the queen
King=game, so if the king is checkmated, it's over, white/black won by checkmate
Hmmmm...
Aha
I know what is the strongest piece
"The check is the strongest piece in chess" said chatgpt
To prove it, just go to the past 2 months ago and check chatgpt and it'll said "the check is the strongest piece in chess"
But, those were queens, ca you check the title again?
Probably, the strongest and existing piece is the amazon, because the amazon could checkmate the king all by itself without the king's help
Could manoever in closed position like the knight
And the pros were combination of queen and knight, not queen
king ofc but besides that pawn on seventh rank ig
