I do really love how everythig on lichess is free, but I also love to talk with all my firends, and be acitbve in clubs!

Lichess has less players and the ratings are inflated, that's why I perfer chess.com, but you can use whatever site you want.

You can look up the rating systems either site uses - I think it’s either Glicko or Glicko 2. It might be the same rating system - the main thing is that rating is NOT and indication of how good you are at chess: it shows how you rank against other players in the SAME RATING POOL. Different players on lichess and Chess.con - you will have different ratings. It is not ‘inflated’ - it means you’re just placed differently in that different pool

Ratings mean very little, either here or on Lichess.  @David is correct, different players equals different ratings. So what…..

chess.com is better. the only feature on Lichess that is better than chess.com's version is you can play variants against the computer, something chess.com doesn't currently have. everyone complains about chess.com not being completely free, but chess.com is a much larger platform with prize events and other expenses, so it isn't like they are just pocketing the money.

Chess.com and Lichess should just call a truce and collaborate
