Which is deeper: math or chess?

What do you think which is more complex and which takes more time to master? Both chess and math are in a certain sense infinite. But English mathematician Hardy once said "Chess is a trivial mathematics!" On the other hand many mathematicians play chess and they wouldn't do this if they believe it is trivial. Karpov left mathematics for chess when he was an undergraduate student. There are chess champions and mathematicians. It is for my future presentation. Thank you in advance.

Chess is finite - math is infinite- debate ended.

Mathematics takes a longer time to truly master; undergraduates have only just scraped a tiny fraction of all the math there is to know.

Chess is not finite lol

IMO, Math is deeper. And have many applications. I would consider a PhD in Math more to be proud of than a GM title.

I think both are equal

Of course Math is deeper, All things in the world need Math on the application

Mathematicians at any level have only just scraped a tiny fraction of all the math there is to know.
