ChesswithGautham

Just stick to your opening repertoire, but remember the 20 40 40 technique. Just give in 15 opening learning time and do all the analysis

You can study the Ruy Lopez, Italian, London, Grunfeld and the Sicilian which are great openings.

In my opinion, you should stick the the ones begin with d4 when play the White pieces. It is difficult to improve when you always use the Italian Game or Ruy Lopez, high-rated players will neutralize them easily.  For Black, the Sicilian Defense or KID are the most efficient from my perspective. They are complicated and they contain many interesting variants, which many players do not know how to counter.

I played Italian all my life and honestly I flew to 1300 with that opening and I don't trust myself playing the Sicilian and well the KID is just inconsistently successful

Then 1600 ⁓ 1700 is the highest rating you may have with that opening. I got into your situation once before, when I struggled to reach 1800 in my old account. Believe me, using new techniques will benefit you a lot.

INDYA75

Sack_o_Potatoes

Kings Gambit, you said u were an aggressive player, and kings gambit is very aggressive

brutafire

Prepare Gambit lines with the help of opening books

And prepare the "problematic lines which opponent can cause" with the help of experienced player or engine
