Which one is better for beginners - Daily games or Rapid games?

Dear friends, my friend wishes to start playing chess, so I wanna know which one will be better for her - Daily games or Rapid games?

I personally dislike Daily games, as I have nooo patience at all ha ha

But I am open for your suggestions so that I may guide her  

Rapid is definitely better for improving imo unless you really study the daily games.

Daily would give your friend more time to think. That could be important if something happened that interrupted their ability to play or their concentration (lost connection, ill health, sudden family emergency, pet passing away, etc.).

Rapid is the best as she will learn to think fast but before that ask her to play puzzles sis

I would definitely not play very quick games as a beginner. I used to play five minute games, I began playing ten minute games only two times as long and I was able to think about my moves for a much longer period at time. At the same time the ten minute games were not very long so I was able to play many games and correct mistakes that I had made in my games especially the openings. I believe that daily games can take too long you want to go in and try again especially as a beginner playing is the best way to improve while still considering the moves. So in conclusion she should not play games that are too slow nor should she play games that are too fast.

For a beginner, daily would be much better than rapid. What would a beginner learn from rapid? How the pieces move? How to use a mouse?

Beginners need time to think about their moves, or they will learn nothing.

I would encourage your friend to take time to watch some training videos or read some instruction books before playing anything.

Play daily, take as long or as short as you like with every move, find your level, start the grind.

Rapid. Avoid fast time controls, they are sort of an addiction for newbies. I do them because i am a retired player for.

but 1-2 daily is fine, but beware half your opponents may just never respond.

Id suggest 2 daily games at a time of 3 days per move. AFTER 10 games are completed play maybe 3 or 4 rapid games each week, could be on the weekend. Maybe do 1 tactic puzzle each day and 1 or 2 videos each week. I know mant will say this isnt enough BUT..... she doesnt need to over do it and get burned out. Too much chess training will drive a new player away. Just tiny bits as a start.

You probably need to get a couple of daily games against people who make moves in a reasonable amount of time, you don't want to be playing 1 or 2 games against people who make a couple of moves and then time out.
