I wonder which time control is used in OTB tournaments to get titles. Is there just one standart timing for title matches?

I saw fide page has 3 ratings for every licenced players.. how is the process? do you have to play all blitz rapid and std to get a fide rating? there are many rapids for example.. which one? 10m 15m with increments.. without? where is bullet btw?

Titles are only awarded for the standard rating and the minimum time control to get norms is G/90,+30

90|30 I think.

There is no bullet OTB I think, at least in official FIDE tournaments.

The rules in the handbook cover the MINIMUM opponents' rating strength, time controls, rounds and/or hours of play/day, etc.  Most tournaments where IM and especially GM norms are earned are much stronger (to ensure adequate competition), go on for more rounds (to ensure consistency) and have longer time controls (to ensure quality).

Most of the famous GM games you see in books and in articles here--particularly those played 1950-2000--were 2 or 2 1/2 hours per player for 40 moves plus 30 minutes for 15 more moves, or something similar. With the advent of digital clocks different formulae involving delays and bonuses are used but the resulting times would come out close to equivalent for games with the same number of moves.

So.. FIDE doesn't recognize bullet ratings officially. Interesting.
