Is it true that white is in favour over black? Because in tournaments, what i have seen, mostly black  trys to go into a draw, and white trys to dominate to the win. Is it true that with the actuall chess "meta" white is stronger than black?

It is statistically true. If you look at the win, loss and draw percentages, whether for all games or only for masters, you will see there is a significant advantage for White. (something like 55% / 45% for masters)

This does not mean of course, that with "best play" (= what a super-computer would calculate if we let him the time to do so) that White wins, or draws more easily. It just means that as far as humans are playing, it is easier to play the white side.

Not sure how typical this is, but I do better as white

White 54% won, 41% lost

Black 48% won. 48% lost

You are in a tempo down with black, so white has the initiative. And usually white can choose a given opening's variation. So practically it is easier to play with white.
