Post the start date of your longest ongoing daily game.

Mine is June 2nd 2019

Some crummy Serbian wasted a year-and-a-half of my life using an engine to beat me in a 4v5 pawn rook ending.  That jerk had 4 pawns as you guess.  Thanks for sleeping on the job cheat team you fekkers are ace.

A 2 year game?! Wow. I usually play 1 move/day so I am nowhere near that. Am playing a 3 move/day game where my opponent refuses to resign, and have counted out ~20 moves to mate (they only have a pawn), so imagine that will take about 2 more months.

I do not do daily games. I dodge commitment and responsibility of all kinds. I prefer quickies.

I move once every 14 days.  As such most of my games are 1 to 2 years old.

First to get checkmated or die, loses.

The older a game, the better. Patience is a virtue.

I was born on the 14th.  I have 14 kids with 14 women.  My favorite football player is Dan Marino - jersey number 13.  Doh!

You vampires should be perfectly suited to the games which last years.

Hmm . Having ongoing daily games from a long period of time seems like a good thing to boast about. I am going to start making 14 day matches and try having a very long match

I know, right? But I just get bored/jaded with it all. Half my dailies got won because the other player forgot to move or did not care enough to bother. Then out of that I win a lot because the other player is treating the daily like a 5 min blitz and just kicking off moves without due deliberation. Then also do I have the patience or time to really devote to studying a position and coming up with true Vampire quality moves? Or would Henri Grob himself, risen from the grave, slap me across the face with his trademark white gloves out of disgust at my carelessness and inaccuracy?

No, I am impatient and would prefer to sit around stewing in my cynicism, sarcasm and emptiness or else taunting the goodly villagers with cruel witticisms pointing out their various shortcomings, flaws, and foibles. I lurk in the shadows, waiting to pounce on anyone expressing optimism or positivity, waiting for the moment when the moderator's back is turned and I can feast. Or in a chess game I wait until the right moment to land a good one-line zinger at the optimal moment in the game.

New game option:

Yearly game.

Only one move a year.

Let's see if you can outlive your own game.
