hmm well you might as well say the best player of all time as even Fisher against Spassky transposed to a queens gambit declined, Kasparov played it all the time, Boltivnik played it as his main move, lasker was always playing it i dont know of any reent chess top- level master who does not play d4.
Just very curious who the possible candidates are for the best 1.d4 player of all time ?
