In his time - Morphy, no doubt.
Whos the Best
1. Fischer - in his prime. His prime being the 1970s Candidate Matches he played . The most amazing thing is, unlike #2 Kasparov, Bobby never had a real chess coach while Kasparov was coached by Grandmasters from the age of 10! Yet Bobby qualified for his first Candidates match at 15 and Kasparov only at 19. It blows my mind to think what Bobby could have done had he been coached by a world class GM (like Kasparov) from a young age.
2. Kasparov
3. Capablanca - A difficult choice between Capablanca and Karpov, but I'll give it to Capablanca. Probably one of the greatest endgame players of all time. It is also clear he is probably the greatest natural talent in chess, Morphy is his only competition in that area.
4. Karpov - The most solid player ever. He has to be somewhere in the top 5 if Kasparov is going to be, because he has an amazing record. Kasparov vs. Karpov is the greatest rivalry ever.
5. Alekhine - The greatest calculator chess has ever seen.
Whats up people who yall think is the best player you seen play chess. To me I think ouachita is the best ever, if you have a problem try beating him! LOL
