This seems to be exactly what you are doing.

Steven, thanks for your continued concern. I'm glad you're passionate about the matter and I'm sorry if this has offended you. What I aim to do is not "recruit," but rather to help people get better at chess. I am a National Master with years of experience, and wish to share that with those who could benefit from it. If that doesn't include you, that's totally fine by me. I hope one day it can include you, but until that day, I hope to help as many chess players looking to improve as possible!

I subbed too. I have no problem with what he's doing but I don't want him to have his account terminated for violating the terms and services.

Ahh, understood. I'll try and focus more on the advice part and only post a link at the end if anyone is interested. Thanks for looking out for me and for subbing!

I don't play the pool here anymore, for partly this reason (and also because of not being too happy with some elements of the site). I just do loads of Puzzle Battle and very occasionally bughouse or unrated games with friends, and in the meantime I point and laugh at goofballs on this forum. That's pretty much what I do here

Most people I encounter are just horrible persons...

A couple things wrong with your post:

1. Not "everyone" is hostile.

2. Its not "everyone".

3. Anonymity.  When you're not face to face with people.  The internet is like alcohol.  It gives some a false sense of courage.
