Why Aren't Only Moves Played Automatically in Correspondence Chess??

In Correspondence Chess, why couldn't they have developed a program that basically moves automatically if you only have one legal move?
For example, if you give a check, and the only legal move is Kh7, then why do you have to wait for your opponent to take days to play Kh7; shouldn't the system just make that move automatically, and say, it's your move again? This will save a lot of time in corr chess.
I think chess.com should make this an option right now.
