Ohhh quit analyzing....donchu ever get sicka that ?
Why Can't I Uncastle a Castle ?

....and btickler ?....u always have been insignificant.
You say this like your opinion means something to me ...

Lies and tricks... that's where it starts...
Next thing you know... HE'S WEARING YOUR SKIN!... ARGH!!!!!
It puts the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again.
Uri, I think it meant "sicka dat" not "sicka that"
Thank's but... I still don't get it

TGL?... Y R U pretending ur not a man?
DGMW but from my POV, ur a complete D-bag and you can just GFY!
...and you WILL obey the rules!

If you happen to move your king or your rook, you CANNOT Castle. So, when you castle, you move your rook and king thus making castling or" uncastling" illegal. As you have moved them.

This thread reminds me of this:

If a knight is worth more than a pawn why can't he just decide to attack diagonally? You can ask this question about anything in life. Why do you always have to stop at a stop light even when it's two a.m.? Because those are the rules and it is stupid. If you don't have rules then it ceases to be a game. Humanity is weird. Chess is the greatest game ever invented. I have never been one to follow rules I don't like, so my advice to you is.... If you don't like the rules don't play the game. The rules are what makes chess, chess. It's a brain exercise and taking away the rules would just make it a board with pieces that could be anything to anyone, so why don't you just take all of your pieces, glue them together, make an abstract piece of art with them; then submit it to FIDE and ask them you acknowledge you as a GM? You are welcome..... Checkmate.

So , undoing a move is not possible and king has "only 2 ways to move".
What exactly is unclear?
****
Simple. In a uncastle, you're still moving the King (2) squares.
And BTW, in Article 3.8a, I feel that the word "original" should be replaced w/ "initial board setup".
I'm telling you, I can run with the biggest of hair-splitting, "let's get technical" dawgs.
You couldn't be any more stupid.
Please change your name to rook jumper.
So. The next question is why isn't uncastling considered a move ? It hasn't been defined by FIDE as an illegal move, right ? They state that pawns are the only "pieces" that can't move back from whence they originated. Kings & rooks can. Why can't the combination "castle" move of K + R go back ?
...Bold lies are one of tricks used by trolls. FIDE rules don't state that "pawns are the only "pieces" that can't move back from whence they originated". Moreover "move back" is not in the rules at all.
