why chess not in Olympics

chess is fulfilling all the needs
if you say it is a Indoor game then what is table tennis and some others
if you talk about the popularity hardly any country doesn't play chess
if you say it would be very lengthy then you can have rapid or blitz event and it can be in knockout format like world cup
then why does Olympics doesn't add chess
