You don't get the win if you don't have enough material to checkmate your opponent. You didn't, so you didn't win.

Today I played a game down to where I had the lone king and my opponent had the king, Queen and pawn.
I avoided checkmate until my opponent ran out of time. At that point the computer declared a draw due to insufficient material.
Should I be the winner in this situation?
