Outcome of the game when you lose your queen almost always favors your opponent and will happen 99%. They just resign to not waste time since them losing is more likely than anything else.

sure, they have a higher chance of losing, but you can't just quit a game like that, its unsportsmanslike.

Welp, I guess grandmasters are unsportsmanlike. @Arnaut10 is correct.

it's not about the chances of you losing. It's about you fighting till the very end mate.

whats the point of fighting to the end when you're already losing? There's a very high chance that your opponent will probably checkmate you.

yes, but instead of giving your opponent satisfaction that he wins, there is still a 0.0001% percent chance of you winning, and personally, I'd follow that 0.0001% until the end.

Chess culture is gone. Is dead.

You lose your queen, you resign. Unless you are both really beginning players, like 500 rating.

Anything else is a lack of respect.

I fully agree, fight until you can't. Go on until you lose. Then you accept the loss.

Because they think that they are going to lose.

I lost many Queens before, and I was able to recover from some of them

Resign when you feel you have nothing more to learn.

exactly

AunTheKnight

I personally play on until I see there is no counter play. Then, I analyse afterward.

LittlePuffling

Honestly, you only have to look at people's rating to know what their opinion on resigning is going to be

Precisely

Immaculate_Slayer

bobby lost his queen to mecking and the game drew

sfleetwood61
I’m a beginner 6 months playing was confused when someone higher ranked would resign once I took their queen. Now I feel I should resign if I lose my queen against a much better player out of respect. Not so much against a similar low ranking player.
Djavalkar

the queen has a lot of power in the game and operating it is easy as well. When most of the times people resign after losing their queen stupidly, they tend to give hope and resign.
