The same reason it's easier to claim something was stolen than to consider they misplaced it: it's more comfortable to blame somebody else instead of yourself.
Plus, as MyFIDEkeepschanging mentioned, on this site that is actually a reasonable explanation, from what I hear.
I mean why don't they just take their losses and move on. Instead they have to send me a messenge telling me that they do not have 100% proof (like they had any to begin with) and that I am using some super program... I'm using a super program? LOL, did he actually take the time to look at my pitiful loses in online chess? WTH is he talking about?
Yeah that paticular endgame I was playing with him I did play rather well, mainly because I know a lot about the endgame, and, he simply made a foolish mistake that I took advantage of. That game actually should have been a draw.
If you think someone is cheating, just report them, sheesh, don't come crying to the player telling them how you think they are cheating, it's just stupid. It actually does you dis service because now all it does is gives us another confidence boost. I mean if you think we are using a "super program" then obviously we must feel flattered :D
No, I don't use chess software. I actually hate using fritz to even analyze my games after the fact, simply because I don't like some of the lines the computer comes up with. Maybe I have a bad engine... :(... I prefer to just look at my games myself, and pass the difficult ones to a GM I pay to analyze. No computer analysis here, not even after the fact. I personally think it would be stupid to use a computer program when you are trying to improve on chess. I mean did he read my blogs? Does he know I am actually trying to improve my chess rating? Why then, would I use a computer program? Silly.
I've noticed people with my rating are either good, or not good. The ones that are not good, dispite are close rating, they lose to me all the time. Could it be that maybe perhaps your just a bad player, and that maybe just maybe the guy (me) isn't cheating?
I've played over a hundred online games. A small few are master pieces. (probably only one LOL) Others, are just mainly, LUCK! Like the game in question. He simply made a huge mistake and thinks only a computer could figure out the move to win!
I don't even know why I'm wasting time talking about this. I should have just not let it get to me, but at the same time I think it's actually pretty funny and I know people post similar threads on these forums so I wonder just how many people this happens to... I just lost over 10 games, but I cheat!! LOL
