Why do people offer to draw instead of resigning?

But if I am only 8 years old, according to you it's not rude, because I am too young to be rude. No doubt kids who murder other kids are too young to murder other kids in your world view..

My view is that there´s a huge difference between kids and adults. Do you think that 8 year olds should get to vote?

Kids are capable of absolute evil, just like adults, in fact they can manipulate, steal, insult, kill, torture animals, so being rude is nothing in what they are capable of.

I don't believe in democracy, voting for a bunch of people you know nothing about and letting them have the reigns of power to ruin your life seems dumb to me, so I wouldn't let anyone vote, especially 8 year olds.

Observation tells us that our world is in the mess that it is because we keep electing either idiots or manipulative dishonest people into office who do not have the wealthfare of our nation or it's people in their interest.

No western democracy has any sort of meritocracy system to elect it's officials, it's all based on who can BS us the best. Now that is nonsense.

What's 'rudeness' got to do with it? The whole internet is driven by rudeness. You can say anything and insult anybody online and get away it with because you're just a faceless entity, an impersonal stream of data that could be coming from next door, or from the other side of the world. If you play chess online, be prepared for a lot of aggravation you wouldn't have to endure OTB. But to be fair, no matter how angry people get playing online, you're not risking a punch in the nose from your opponent.

Some people do it in hopes to save some points. It's not a rational thought. More desperate, I don't hold it against people although I agree that it's not sportmanslike.
The draw is a gesture offered by the upper hand out of friendliness, not by the lower hand to retain value. LIke "You played well but you had an obvious mouseslip and now it's hopeless for you, have this draw." Or sometimes when the situation is entirely equal but is dragging out (can't think of a situation that couldn't be finished in one way or another but as an example.)

DO NOT accept a draw. You'll lose elo over a game you might've won. Meanwhile they only lose -1 point.

Depends. Sometimes you can win points. Depends on your ratings.

Voting for the democratic system just legitimises a system that puts dishonest, corrupt, incompetent puppets into power who essentially work for the interests of corporations, themselves and the globalists who essentially run the world.

There was a time when I believed in that system, I don't anymore.

So to answer your last statement, yes neither should vote, that is what I am saying. There were adults who voted for Hitler, there were adults who thought communism and marxism were a good idea and there are adults who still believe that. The world is full of idiots/fools and the people in charge know that, those people created our democractic system and continue to shape it, amend it and run it. That is the simple reality of our reality.

We are living in a prison and you want us to vote for it, well adults at least.

Thank you so much! I can understand why kids would do it, and this helps me understand why other people would do it as well!

If you all are going to argue politics, take it to the Off Topic forums please because I made this to get an answer and some people are just taking the opportunity to argue about things that don’t have anything to do which what I asked… *cough*Corporal_Jones

Chess.com seems to be a political forum. Everyone is talking politics here all the time.

LordHunkyhair3

You didn’t bring it up yes, but then you wouldn’t let it die! It would slowly start to fade, and guess who brought it back up again!

Oh wait! Look what I found!

“…so being rude is nothing in what they are capable of.

Everyone was talking about kids being rude then… poof! Out of nowhere comes “I don’t believe in democracy.” This is the very first mention of something that smells of politics, or at least opens a doorway.
Thelegendary_ROOK

One time, I was up 20 points of material, and my opponent offered like 5 draws before giving up and keeping me waiting for his time to end.

LordHunkyhair3

#42 of course lol
