Dick Hunter, I beat you easily.  Clearly you were not looking at the board, and were busy hunting...!

'Dick Hunter' Wow, that's so funny, I've never heard that before. And it only took you, er.. three months to come up with it.

Here's the game in which you 'beat' me. I'll let other people decide if they think you were looking at the board or not.

nullSounds like a fun game, but it only seems to have occurred in your imagination, old man.

I usually notice them looking away not at the board.

When a strong payer is trying to visualize a position several moves in the future, looking at the current position can be a distraction. Many top players look away from the board when doing deep calculations, or close their eyes.

I read somewhere they look away from the board before making a move because they can no longer write down their move before playing it, like a last minute blunder check.

A blind person stared at me and never blinked.....quite a skill.
