I am sorry, I must apologize. I didn't mean to be sexist. Let's get an American commentator like Roseanne Barr to match the commentary style.
I will admit that is funny

She has the most annoying voice.
Why can't we have someone like Koneru Humpy or Harika Dronavalli instead?
I agree 100% - the most annoying voice. If we cannot avoid her - could she not work with her pronunciation. For instance:
Wincent == Vincent, Tree == Three, Boat blayers == Both players, Tink == Think, Bawn == Pawn, Uman == Human
and on and on and on……
ah it's good you mentioned.. not the voice but her accent.. makes me tired mostly. and the other guy, he is italian i guess, same with him.
they are obviously good at chess, good at commentating but not at hosting such an event. well, it's better than nothing but still there are better alternatives at chess.com's disposal.
She connects her words well, which I appreciate. I see some news commentators on tv who are getting paid big bucks but can hardly say one sentence without going "uh" or "ah" or "umm". If they speak for several minutes there are 20 to 30 uhs, and/or umms, and/or ahs. There is a mayor in a nearby city who when not reading from a script says "uh" twice or even three times per sentence, every sentence.

If you mean the guy who sat next to her during the GOAT freestyle championship and constantly said "wow" he's German and seemed to be incredibly annoyed by Tania. The robotic guy at the big screen (Nicholas) is also German. I guess they used these two because the event was in Germany. Neither had much charisma.
When trolls make bigoted and sexist comments that is the response they deserve.
Their alternative suggestions would put the lie to both the notion of bigotry and sexism. It would appear that they just don't like Tania Sachdev. I don't understand why, but they obviously do. As someone else pointed out, the real problem is in you presenting your opinion as fact. My buddies Dunning and Kruger have a couple things to say about this that you'd be sure to ignore completely.

So, Tania Sachdev's voice makes up 100% of her?
You're the spitting image of every person I've ever known who clearly should have listened to their depression. See ya.
I totally agree. Her voice is not suited for commentary. It is harsh on the ears and it stresses me out. The reason she's a commentator is that she ticks a few important boxes: female, Indian etc. All of this is good but it doesn't change the fact that her voice is wicked annoying.
Oh for goodness sake! shes not commenting because of the dulcet tones of her voice, articulation or chess prowess, she's commentating because she's easy on the eye and maybe her ethnicity. Ironic, isn't it, all things considered. We live in a clown world where people are promoted on that basis while we are supposed to live in denial of the fact. Just let reality make inroads.

I literally have a minor in psychology. I'm sure they feel like they, "just don't like her." I'm sure that for a lot of people that's the main factor. I'm also sure there are other factors at work. I'm ready to be vocal when people say inflammatory things. If the prompt read something like, "With so much depth of talent available to the chess.com broadcast team, Tania Sachdev shouldn't be on the main team." Sure. I would disagree, but sure. When written as is it should be met as was. I'm not ignorant of your knowledge. I just disagree with you about the best course of action even after incorporating it. Cheers!
I personally find her very annoying not because of here voice (although it is sometimes hard to understand.)
but she has that really annoying high school vibe and say Oh My God every 2minutes at a play. She is the only one that does that too and has no real respect for people who actually believe in god I know that might something so weird to say in todays world but yet all other commentators say oh my gosh or something in that vicinity.
But it's the little things that kinda shows off her god complex
I, personally, enjoy Tania's commentaries. I mean, she pretty much called the legendary self pinning Rg6 in the final rapid game against nepo in the championship last year albeit from a skeptical standpoint " Rg6 is not a move you consider here .. " And then boom. That game blew up.
I like her. No problems with her voice, delivery, use of language etc. I've enjoyed the commentaries from Hess, Anish, Rensch and so on, but I also include Tania in that group. She knows more about chess than most of us here so i'll listen to what she has to say.
crazy annoying and chess.com knows it too but they want to be politically correct and just keep her because she is female
just get another female then I mean...
and yes I agree with Biggie the constant OMG is respectfulness she is the only on doing it and it does have an annoying teenage style to it

It's a bit unfair to demand that she works on her accent, which is a typical Indian-subcontinent accent. She's perfectly easy to understand. What I find intolerable is her high-pitched tone and her nervous energy. It's exhausting.
