Why does Chess.com use a fake testimonial???

Whole bread at best, cream of wheat at worst.

You know whose picture they should use?  Greg Sestero.

I found all members of chess.com who names are Peter, and members since 2011. I deduced that all the other profiles were not a Peter that chess.com would use for advertisement purposes.

            The quote comes from ME but staff had to change the picture because who the hell would believe that Animal, (a mild mannered muppet drummer who stands for truth justice and the American way.) would actually use chess mentor??

I half expected the advertisement to say, "If you sign up in the next 15 minutes, we'll include...", and "Wait! There's more! As a special bonus, we'll include...".

There is no truth, there is no justice, and the American way is way gone.

I think this whole thing is hilarious.

But I'm pretty sure way back when, c.c asked for people to write some quick testimoninials given that c.c could use your first name.

Plenty of people wrote in, and c.c of course wanted to use someone with a face instead of something else. They prolly just choose Peter and didn't investigate whether it was really him or not. Maybe they didnt even have the capability to check. I mean it looks real enough.

Maybe Peter even changed his pic to that so he'd get a better shot. Who knows!

            Did North Korea hack into chess.com AGAIN!   We MUST plug this leak. All members who's name is Peter will be be-headed by 4pm.

chess.com is suppose to be a site that is one of the leading businesses that offer chess resources. The OPs probably thinks Peter is fake, well even if the picture is fake, that is not what chess.com is saying. chess.com could be saying, this is Peter, (which should be his real name), he is from Germany, (which could be wrong) and he is a member since 2011, the year is the only solid thing to go by, since we cannot change it on our profile. So based on that limited information on Peter, who doesn't post a profile picture of himself, could be the link I posted above, I have no other resources to go by. Or it's Jeremy, who's using a name from the movie Peter Pan, I don't know, you determine what's going on.

             On the day it was posted, it was true. The sad part is, 1 hr after it was posted, Peter DIED in a horrible chess accident. Now Paul & Mary are looking for someone to complete the're trio.

Mysteries like this make the Bermuda Triangle look like a joke.
