no but he would crush most of the players and really who would go to the open if carlsen is playing very few people thats what if he played then they have extremely low chance of winning any prizes at all so i ask whats the point
do open tournaments.... they always do there small, elite tournaments.... if they did open they would lose more often
thats always been a criticism against top super GM
