I think Anand once said: put a piece away from the action and before you know it, your opponent will forget it's there.
I was doing this puzzle and it took me some time to even realize I was attacking the rook and my bishop was being attacked. Whats with random chess blindness? Its annoying because it makes you feel stupid. It was white to move btw.
