considered to be uncool e.g. Germany. 

One proof: Many years ago a German showmaster said in his show:

"We have asked 100 people: Name us a boring sport!" 

You can easily guess what might have been the top answer (63%)...

LOL: There are no original ideas anywhere. However, it seems that the only game shows that aren't copied (yet) are those gross, humiliating Japanese spectacles where they make people go through horrible ordeals to score points for some crappy prize.
