Why is the most powerful, versatile and indispensable chess piece a woman?
I am speculating that at the time chess was being developed in India there may have been a matriarchy in control. What do you think?
Because in the 15th century, when the queens became more powerful they changed the rules and instead of the queen moving only two squares it became the best piece on the chessboard.

But maybe its a patricarcy even because the queen need to protect the king, its all about the king.
