Not wanting to recognize a people and give them the same rights as others is one of the worst forms of discrimination that has ever existed. Italy's past is well noted for its discrimination against Jews and recognizing them even as human...let alone another race...I am not going to waste any more time on you either...

wow... I'm sorry you feel that way about Italians. I also have no problem with Jews, in fact if you had bothered to read the whole thread you would know I'm married to one, and related to more than you will ever be. By the way Mr. Bigot, it's an Irish flag.

How in the hell am I not wanting to give any people the same rights as others? I happen to study human anthropology and know quite a bit about what it means to be human, I dare say more than you. You and Ironlungdope have revealed yourselves as the true bigots you are by calling out Italians in your hamhanded way. Like I said to him... it's an Irish flag. Intellectualism is not something pursued or admired nearly as much in every culture. While in Jewish culture it often was.

It's really that simple.

Especially different Christian denominations have not been too big on the general development of ones intellect with ungodly hobbies such as philosophy, science, literature etc. till even the recent past. Just work hard and keep your mouth shut. Here in the Netherlands in certain areas and even in my family one can still strongly sense the remnants on this mindset with people alive today growing up in families where books were pretty much banned etc. (Currently being replaced with a happy dumb consumerist rejection of intellectualism but that's a whole other story.)

Of course, jews (religious or not) have ancestors in the Middle east. But they have ancestors in Europe, too, because they occasionally mixed with Europeans. If you put a drop of blue color into a water glass many times, the water becomes blue at the end.

Non-Significant difference. Those are just hereditary traits. Nothing to do with people being superior to others. I didn't say there weren't genetic differences, but that there were no significant differences.

Intelligence is a hereditary trait to a significant extent. Several of the recessive genetic diseases that are very overrepresented in the Ashkenazi operate by messing with neural growth and function. Some have as one of their effects increased neural connectivity, which some studies have shown to be associated with higher intelligence.

There is speculation that people who carry but do not have these diseases may still get some of the good effects (like enhanced neural connectivity). More research is needed.
