What exactly do you mean by 'study chess 2 year'?

How/What do you study? How old are you?

Try to have some little goals that you can really reach in few time. This will help you to improve your skills step by step and motivates you to go on.

Im impressed with the constructive and helpful non dismissive responses. What an excellent community to be apart of. Being new to chess i will contribute only the following. Dont give up on pursuing your goals if it is a passion of yours. If you are not passionate about it then consider what you are passionate in to pursue.

Dear OP

You can aim for the stars, but there is no way to get to them within a human lifetime, unless you can move at the speed of light.

Hi Vernord00,

Looking at your ratings here I noticed the following :

*) Your chess mentor rating is fairly good. Nice.

*) Your tactics rating leaves much room for improvement.

Are you doing tactic puzzles every day ?

See here a possible approach for daily tactics :

http://anotherachja.be/2014/01/26/improving-tactical-skills-my-approach/

Questions :

*) Are you analysing your own chess games afterwards with a stronger player and chess engine ?

*) Are you studying annotated master games ?

*) Are you watching chess videos ?

*) You are part of a chess learning group. Excellent. Are you joining vote chess matches there ?

*) Have you considered hiring a chess coach ?

*) Do you have a chess blog ? If not, did you consider starting a chess blog to share your games and your thoughts and get feedback from other chess players ?

*) Are you focusing on slow time control games and taking your time per move ?

Bullet chess can "destroy" your chess skill development.

If you are lower rated, then you should avoid playing bullet chess.

Blitz is okay for fun and to test new ideas and to test certain opening lines against a lot of various opponents.

The focus should be on slow time control chess, and using your time per move very well there.

Has what you learned in these two years improved your chess playing ability?

I think that was the OP's point....that his study wasn't working.

Yeah, his question is why he hasn't been improving. From what I gather he's been reading chess books, studying annotated games, and not playing standard time control games. If this has resulted in no improvement at all then that's a pretty big clue as to why he hasn't been improving.

Unfortunately not always the case, MagnusChessNoob. In your time you are going to come across sad things in these forums. I'm just saying this to warn you - don't let it get you down when you do come across garbage. Just keep going! Keep being one of the good guys! And good luck with your playing!

You might want to first study "how to study" in a way that would be helpful at your skill rating.

The people on this forum are usually quite helpful with that.

Do you have access to books?  Do you have access to buddies that play chess at a higher level you can play "over the board" (in real life) and discuss the games afterwards?

To become a better chess player you need to make better moves. A good chess coach can find out why you're making the mistakes you're making. Since your probably won't be getting a coach we'll need to find other options.

At your level players tactics and thought process account for most of the mistakes players make. You'd have a better idea of what you need to work on but improving your tactical vision and developing good thinking habits is probably a good place to start.

@Vernord: Why you think you have to improve? Have you considered playing chess just for fun? I want to believe there is still people like me who improve 200 OTB rating a year and can still answer to all those questions above no. The day when I realized I liked playing chess for fun was the happiest day of my life. (I'm still a guy with precisely an OTB rating 1900 and I'm 16)
