Growing up during winter break in So Cal i still remember the kids in shorts and tanks when the temp was in the 40's. "Thar from Canada"... we were told every time lol
It's more legend than fact, now days. It used to be that every school kid was required to learn chess, but not anymore.

Chess is certainly part of Russian's culture....sometimes I wish American teachers would encourage the young to play this amazing thinking game...(my personal opinion)
