I understood that after I looked at the second picture, but then I had already began solving it, so I just thought whatever. Using chess notation to solve a chesspuzzle sounds more fun to me and I decided to keep it as some sort of joke.

To complement my answer. Moving for example b1-h4 means I took the piece in coordinate b1 and placed it on h4. The coordinates corresponds to the squares in this grid:
