You know, they call curling "chess on ice" due to its strategic component. I kind of scoffed when I first read that, but take a look with an open mind, read up on it, and watch a bit. Maybe it's not to chess's level of strategy, but there's certainly enough there to keep me interested.
I think if England could play sports we were good at and then enter in the 'World Games Championships'... we'd clean up! Darts, snooker, dog-training, knitting, crochet, teddybear making, bowls, binge-drinking... the list is endless.
