Will computers ever solve chess?
And back to the subject of this forum...
Chess will never be solved.
However it is very obvious that chess is a draw when neither side makes
an error.
More accurate: Chess will not be solved in our lifetimes, and while a majority of titled players feel chess is likely a forced draw, there's no proof of this, nor any current top players claiming proof or even certainty of it.
Will there ever be a computer strong enough to solve chess to the point where white uses its half tempo advantage to always beat black no matter what moves black plays (in otherwords the same computer can never win with black even after a thousand random games against itself)
I beleive one day there will be a computer so strong and so big that it will solve chess completely but perhaps that is 50 or 100 years off, its possible to solve it but we may never see it even in a 100 years
Black will always be alway to draw/stealmate with perfect play
Perhaps a more interesting question. Do you think there is any position after both players have made 1 move where one side is lost with pefect play?

Yes

Yes
1.e4 f5 (duras gambit) or 1.e4 b5, both give great advantage to white
Saying that one side has a great advantage is far from saying that they are lost. It could just mean that the road to a draw is more narrow.
Not at all

No, I meant what I said. Mankind will perish before chess is solved.
And you are quite wrong about top players as they almost all know for certain chess is a draw. This is quite obvious from their play of games and from the annotations of their games.

Chess will be solved with quantum computers, so will be able to see it probably

As far as you dont know, that is.

I don't really care if you meant what you said. My statements were/are more accurate.
As for "they almost all know for certain chess is a draw", you are completely exaggerating the situation and have no proof, as per usual.

It's obiovus as you can draw in a losing position, so with perfect play white would keep his edge but it wouldnt be enought to win
