Winning on TIME!

I was is a 3|0 game, very recently, where I won the said game  when the time on my opponents clock ran out. Needless to say, but winning a 3|0 game on time is not a rare occurence at all but he/she was most displeased with the result and abused me via live chat and on my notes; "Typical Pomme. ALL MOUTH and no ART. He needs an extra queen even with super ammo left. How weak !! Wow Wow Wow. Wally brain !!" I was attempting to promote a pawn to a queen (and run down his clock). Subsequently, I blocked this highly rude and ignorant individual who I will keep anonymous although the said abuse can be seen on my profile notes.

My question is: How can it be wrong to run down your opponent's clock when they are stupid enough to be dangerously low on time?

According to his own words:

"I am not a good player but I love the game. I like to play against players who are always challenging, not just dancing around to win by the clock. That is an insult to the art of chess. Checkmate is what it's all about."

It clearly isn't "an insult to the art of chess" if clocks are used in world championship matches.

if these are his profile notes, the guy is just playing a form of chess that's not very well suited for him, to say the least. :P

@wealybin you didn't do anything wrong

It isn't. Your opponent was just upset about the loss.
