This is called check, it's when a piece is attacking the king.

#13 the entire point of the game is to capture the king! You can’t trade them!

You should take the lessons on chess.com, it seems there are a few rules you don’t know and you could benefit from the lessons.

Sometimes if I tap on my king and it hasn’t moved yet is shows that it can move two squares in a direction.
