Hi,

i would like to notice and ask for solution of following situation. My opponent aborted game after about 10 moves. I cant see the game in my history, because it was cancelled (somehow) but admins or developers could see history of my account (logs etc.) so the player can be banned. Also, i suggest to consider fixing the bug which allow cheaters to gain elo this way. My login is paranojachess and my email is here, id like to get an answer for this situation. Thanks a lot. MD

Same to me today, July 5 at about 5:30 AM EST. I was up and it was well into the game, 20+ moves and just aborted. Why did this happen without my agreement?

I received warning for aborting games. I aborted most games before beggining when playing against opponents from the US. I have a poor connection at the moment and noted almost all games, concerning lag favor players in the US. I should not be forced to accept a game against players that I know will be favoured because of their connections. Sorry.

Everyone knows that the US has the fastest eletricty, and internet signals.

The servers for chess.com are in the US I believe. That limits lag.

@Postafi.....hahaha
Good one
Actually only the frequency is higher so.....initially the travel wave is slowlier than the signal on 50hz.
And btw....the fastest internet connection is not in the US....is in South Korea

My last game was aborted against SHammer75 after I was winning. I don't see any history of the game, it's like it never happened.

wtf is with this piece of crap site, abort after abort after abort after playing 7-8 minutes and I;m winning, thanks for wasting my time

this is not cheating i think. rather it's issue on the site connection. happened to me 3 times now and every time i look for a game it says it's taking a while. also it seems  i didn't lose points .

Ever notice no one ever gets a disconnect or an aborted game when they are losing?

There was a scheduled server reboot around that time. All ongoing games when a reboot happens are aborted and do not get written to the archives.

How true @IMBacon! thumbup.png Although I sense something causing a lot of angst recently. Maybe chess.com growing pains with so many new members.

Im not saying the site doesn't have issues, especially with all that is going on.  I guess its like sports.  We lose our minds when our teams gets jipped on a bad call, but ignore it when the bad call helps our team :-)

I hear ya @IMBacon. Been there, done that! Now that I’m older, I feel badly when either team gets shafted by poor calls. Not always the fault of the officials either, they’re human too, not omnipresent nor all knowing. But we seem to expect them to be just that. Okay, back to chess.com. Fix what needs fixin’ and enjoy what we have. Thank you chess.com!
