Are you accessing the site directly?
Also, you might include the browser and version. I just tested on my Android, with its default browser, and Live loaded without any issues. I'm not at a point where I can play a game but everything looks fine.

The OS is Android 5.1.1 and I'm accessing the website directly. I think I'm using Android System WebView. I can't find properties for the icon that just says "internet" so I'm not sure. I tried using chrome and I was able to load the page just fine on my phone. It's definitely the browser but I can't find the information about the default browser and my guess is that it's just WebView.
A lot of providers/handset makers roll their own browser (or repackage one). You might try clearing the cache; could be a bad cached file.
Mine is Samsung Internet 5.4.01.1 and it seems to work fine; of course I'm on Android 7.0 so that may have some bearing. It may be very possible the default browser doesn't support some Javascript code in the Vue framework they are moving to.
I have had occasions where some things wouldn't work correctly but that normally didn't last long. I had to switch to Chrome once during some updates, due to the menu system being broken but I could still use most of the site by typing in the full URL to things.
I know the official stance is the app is the supported access method on mobile devices.
I just downloaded the app because of this glitch. I couldn't find a "clear cache" button under "internet options" and the Android System WebView cache appeared to be empty with the option to clear it grayed out. I did find an option to delete website data under "internet options" and so I deleted the data for chess.com. It didn't fix the issue. As you can tell I'm not very tech savvy. I'm just going to use the app or the chrome browser (as opposed to the default Android browser) when playing chess. My phone has 2 browsers for some reason but if at least one of them works then I can just switch over. Otherwise I can use the app.
I just started getting a glitch today on my android browser when I try to play chess on my samsung. I don't have the app I've just been loading this website using my mobile browser for over a year now and it's always been fine. Today the board wouldn't load when I tried to play live chess and it still isn't working. The site has always had mobile exclusive glitches but it's been serviceable enough for me. Has it suddenly become even less mobile friendly? Was the website updated today? Why can't I play live chess anymore?
