Android mobile app sync/connection problem

I have an OnePlus 2 phone with Android version 5.1.1.

My problem is the following:
While internet works otherwise, my moves never register. After I've made a move, it shows a loading animation (the lines in the top bar), but nothing happens. It doesn't register the moves and the games do not update. There seems to be some kind of connection problem, but all other apps work, so I can't figure out what's wrong.

Any help from the forum? Does anyone else have this problem?

You might try clearing your app cache. And verify you have the newest version of the app.
