annoying notifications request

I had the same problem in Firefox 73.0.1 for MSW10 (uBlock Origin did not help).

I resolved the issue by setting History to "Always use Private Browsing." If you do this, be sure to configure your add-ons to work in Private Mode.

Funny, I also use Firefox, and it worked for me. (I'm using Linux, but I wouldn't think the OS would matter.) uBlock Origin won't automatically block the notification popup - You have to do a one-time manual block of the element.

@EscherehcsE: Thank you for the clarification. A manual block of the element worked for me.

Have you tried to click 'Yes' or 'No'?

When I initially had this problem I tried clicking “yes” and then when it came back “no” and neither helped

After trying most of the advice from these various messages what I did was to log off firefox browser, log into chess.com with another browser, there select no thanks on the notification pop up there and then log off and lo and behold when I returned to firefox the notification popup is no longer appearing on firefox.

@pasha_matchak: Yes, I tried selecting "No," but my choice was not retained as I moved from page to page.

I am receiving annoying popup notifications when it's my turn on daily chess. How to stop this, please?

Same issue here. Checked a little to see what tracking/adware/analytics I might be blocking, but nothing special. Just might have to look at blocking amplitude tracking, since I don't like stuff that uses device id's for tracking.

But still getting the notifications on every page click. And I don't think "we modified something ...." is a good argument for saying "all users having issues with this should do all kinds of things".

As far as I know, staff hasn't replied on any topics where members are having the issue. I'm not staff and I'm just trying to provide some suggestions on things that might help fix it on the client end.

edit: oops, missed a staff member did reply, @pasha_matchak

@Uzunov68 and @cluepon, did you read posts 19, 23, and 24?

Yes. Have you read my remark? Why should I be installing extra addons to keep it working?

I'm getting it too, it didn't happen yesterday, I don't want any notification, why chess.com support doesn't stop it?

Could you please assist me in solving that problem?
