This app update is a huge step forward, I can now use Chess Mentor and watch/ read interactive articles and a lot more cool stuff on my portable devices. It's not bug-free, of course, but it's still a sweet surprise, and this app will no doubt be polished.

As far as any issues you're having, I need as much detail as possible as to what you're doing and what problems you're having. We can't fix anything until we know what the problem is exactly. I really appreciate your help on this!
@ jac1yn...In online chess format I found that when my opponent played his move it does not get updated on real time on Android app...but when I refresh my chess.com Web page I can see my opponent already moved.

yes the quality of the update is really annoying and makes it unplayable. I just lost 3 games in a row when I just couldn't move and after closing the app it stated that I had given up. How do I know when there is an update that makes the app usable again?
To the staff: I got messages like 'user is null' or 'connection is null'
I got the "user is NULL" message as well. After restarting the app, I was told that I had given up.
Moreover, the "Lessons" (mentor) don't work at all when I try to redo a lesson I already completd. When I press "Start Lesson", the "menu" and "hint" buttons show up and I'm being shown the final position of the lesson.
Now the 4th game. I thought to try the newest update, but without improvement. again the 'User has become null' message and my game was counted as resigned. So annoying...

Have to agree: thumbs down for the latest version of the app. The old app worked fine. Why'd they have to go and mess with it?
There's this really good chess app on the google play store. It's free and basically you verse people from all around the world. I have it on my phone and think its great. Go to the google play store type "online chess" and look for the one created by emajreed or something like that.
New app looking Good.but there have many issues.
1. i can't get my vote chess,where it available.?
2.where i can get draw offer button..?
3. Messages can't see. its showing blank.
4.when i try to play Turn based game,receiving msg " unfortunately stopped .com" but same time live chess working.
5. One of my Online chess game's pieces all scatterd on board and 2 queens in one side but there no more Kings on board.
6. i can't stay invisible same as before.always showing "online".feel not good.

I uninstalled the Android app from my phone. The new update is terrible and live chess was running all the time and could not be stopped. There is just no way to sugar coat it... you have done serious damage to your brand with this update. Get rid of the Start Game buttons that are just in the way, get rid of the stupid fly out bars that pop out from the side. Also work out bugs. I made several moves that did not register. I will not reinstall until you fix this garbage or just reinstate the old app.

Things probably get better with the upcoming updates, it definetly needs a twitch here and there.
My feedback (android app):
- The starting screen is very nice for the Online Games. The boards and avatar and username looks great.
- The New Game button is big. I havent accidently started a game pushing them, but I guess it could happen. I like the Time Selection menu with the icons.
The Online game page looks good although it had a couple glitches.
- Sometimes I saw my avatar on one of the games (as if I played myself).
- my Ready games sometimes didnt show on the right page. The games that where ready according to the main page where shown in the Their Move list.
- It would be nice to have a link to the Tournament Page of the user, so you can see in which tournaments you participate. This could also be added in the left page (the list) under Daily Chess (stats-friends-archive-tournaments).
- It seemed that I could not offer a draw when it's my opponent's turn?
-Under the Learn tab it would be nice to have Articles as well!
-In the Forum I cant see any Chess games or puzzles (no diagram). I can see images though! Perhaps show a chessdiagram as an image with a link to a browserversion of it?
Aside from that I think the App is great! The forums are nice to have on the phone! And it has logical navigation and easy to find what you need. As far as I have seen each option in the menu enables you to do what you want to do.
I have lost my theme settings , I play on the blue board and I find it hard to play on any other type of board, could we gave the board theme choices back please!!
The last update is not working on Galaxy Nexus. Won't open, just force closes

Uninstall the app and then reinstall it. The old version is much better. Thanks for reverting it!
I agree entirely with ElKitch and I will add:
- My "Finished Games" in Daily Chess doesn't update; I have finished a few games since I got the new app, and it still is static and just projecting the same results.
- The country flag next to user's name does not always display, but! when you go to analysis board and, then exit analysis board, LIKE MAGIC!, now the country flag is displayed next to usernames.
Other than that, I was thrilled with the new app and the new layout and felt you had done a really terrific job; I am count my blessings and not the faults here... When I had opened up the app right after Christmas it really felt like a present because it was so aesthetically appealing.
I really agree with ElKitch and jus wanted to add those two points.

Probably because they have the day off to celebrate Christmas.
It seems that Chess.com thought "We'll release this new app with lots of new exciting features just before Christmas, as a Christmas gift to our membership", and it did not occur to them that their apparently untested beta version would be chock-full of bugs rendering everyone's apps unusable until fixed.
It's the thought that counts, of course :)
It sounds like it's going to be a great app when it's fixed
Really glad to get game explorer and chess mentor in the app.
