Any way to change those chess greeters message?

ok! we have updated the message for new games going forward... :) i hope it works!
That sounds like a good message to me. It introduces the fact that the greeters are humans and not computers. I've also had someone ask me if I'm human. I said, "No, I'm vacationing from Mars and I decided to try out the Internet."
Just kidding, I didn't say that. It would be funny, but I don't want to turn anyone away from chess.com.

One newcomer got quite irrate with me because i wouldn't move quick enough, i tried introducing them to bitch chess
[yes it was a typo, i meant blitz .. and luckily i changed it before sending].
I love how half the people I'm greeting won't log in. Like, they registered to this site and logged off never to be seen or heard from again...so I have like 7 games with 0 moves and I don't think they're going anywhere.

The following suggestion may be turning a 'hello' into War and Peace, but it would solve the "Are you a computer?" anxiety:

hybridy, i've had the same .. they log in, have a look around, make one move and thats it. But alteast even if a handful out of all of them do actually stay, then some good came out of it.
I have the same problem with three out of five of my games, two are interested in the site and playing, the others logged on and haven't come back so far

But atleast some "are" staying and playing, and from what i can gather from mine, they are really enjoying the site so far.

50 games so far/going on and about half are playing!

Its showing now erik. It takes up all of the box plus two lines, but atleast there are now hyperlinks for the newcomers to click on whilst waiting for their greeter to come online or make a move. One of mine has already said he loves this site. I gave him the sitemap url and he said "oh i've already been there, i got it from the message".

I wish I could have gotten this treatment as a brand new member, but I like to do stuff on my own though

funny how they complain we don't move quickly enough even though they are subject to the same situations that would deter one from being online all the time. i really don't think u should have the part about explaining how to chat in the chat box. it might make them feel stupid. i figured it out when i first came on this site

If you explain how it works and they already know, they can ignore that part, but its not fair on newcomers for us to assume they do know.
it shouldn't be hard to figure how to type and then hit enter or click the enter button, but there are some people who have to have their hand held the whole way

One guy i was playing took 2 days to move, which is not a problem - he left me a message apologising for the delay, he didn't realise he had to click on the submit button
I know the feeling, but I wasn't referring to us forgetful people. We know what we should do we just don't remember it
