Wish I could help you, Anderson. The new version works okay on my tablet (Lenovo Tab4 10, with Android 8.1). And I haven't heard of a "lite" version, though maybe it's something for developers to consider.
Can you still use the site in your mobile browser?
(I searched first, and no one else seems to be having this issue, so maybe it's just me...)
The latest update of the Android app simply wouldn't run on my Lenovo Yoga Tab 4 -- which is a few years old, yes, but seems to run most apps without much trouble (maybe a little slow, sometimes). The previous version of the Chess.com app worked just fine. But with the latest upgrade I can't even fully open it. I get the Android message: "this app isn't responding - report, wait, or close" (the last three being options I can click on).
If I click "report", it takes me to a Google page of legalese, which I exited. If I click "wait", the app seems to open, but then doesn't work and I get the Android message again. If I click "close", it closes the app, but then the cycle begins again when I try to open it.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, as well as rebooting my tablet, to no avail. Is there something else I can try? Or is there maybe a "lite" version of the app?
