Ummm, okay
Ask me questions. I can help.

Q: Are notations (?) - writing down moves, is that a FIDE requirement?
At my one and only tournament (0/7), a young opponent didn't do it. TBH, it's annoying & distracting to me. But one has to do it, even if the opponent doesn't? Thanks!

Good morning:
I've been following the Bangkok Open. Q1: "not paired" comes up for round 7 for the weakest players. Isn't that bloody unfair? They pay to play...http://chess-results.com/tnr344172.aspx?lan=1&art=2&rd=7 What is going on?!?
Q2: What is the lowest FIDE score one can get or hold?
Q3: Is there hope that the need to write down moves and touch the clock will be ended by technology? One can dream...
Thanks!

Good Afternoon!
A1: https://www.fide.com/fide/handbook.html?id=84&view=article
A2: 1200 is the lowest possible FIDE rating a chess player can get. In FIDE, anyone under 1200 is considered a novice.
A3: One can only hope! We can use electronic chess board, they are able to record chess games.
Thanks
Ummm, got it
