Auto=Resign on lost connection???

I would like to suggest that when there is a connection issue (your system tells me so) that you change the 2 minute auto-resign to auto-abort. It doesn't seem fair to lose games/rating points when YOUR SYSTEM knows you have lost connection. As a programmer myself, I cannot foresee this as difficult to change.

Your app has lost the connection.

On the rare occasions when the server resets, the games are aborted.

If it auto-aborted, people could intentionally drop connection when losing, which certainly isn't something that is wanted.

There is more to the connection than your local network. The problem can be caused by other traffic on your device or network, something at your ISP, any of the connections between your ISP and the Chess.com servers.

Some things you can do at your end:

Hi, if I could also share my negative experience, I have had a few auto resignation within a 6-10 second internet interruption. Seems a bit unfair to the player who is still engaged and playing but something beyond their power briefly interfered with a wifi signal thus forfeiting the match without player consent so quickly. Understanding there will be the players who rage quit and wouldn't want to keep the other player waiting too long before the auto resign; rather than changing the resign/abort rule as others have mentioned I suggest there should be a bit more of a time allowance to attempt to reconnect for the innocent disconnects. Thanks
