Try clearing the Safari web browser cache - that often helps with stuff like this
Black Board

For the last two days my board has turned black with no squares showing. I can see 1-8 and A-H on the side and bottom and also the pieces are lined up across the top and bottom. hard to see the black pieces. My setting are set for the standard green board. I use Apple Safari. If I use Chrome then Google chess I get the green board. Any one know how to fix the black board?
You may have to change the board. There have been some recent posts about this and it seems only to impact Safari, and cache clearing may not help.
Thank you that worked. Changed to brown. Did try to go back to green but went black again so going to stay with brown which is fine.

Hi, I have the same problem, and it also happens when I log in from my phone. Clearing the cache or changing the board didn't work.

I am having the same problem too. It looks like the attached picture.
edit. Having trouble adding the picture.

I believe the actual background (CSS image) is repressed - the same as when you have a little picture icon instead of an actual picture. Couldn't solve the issue, probably something internal to Chess.com
