how do i castle??

When castling, move the king two places toward the rook.

  • it must be that king’s very first move
  • it must be that rook’s very first move
  • there cannot be any pieces between the king and rook to move
  • the king may not be in check or pass through check

no i mean how do you physically do it???

You move your king two spaces toward the rook you intend to castle with. Then you move the rook to the other side of the king (if it is on a computer the rook move is automatic).

hold the cursor down on the king, drag the king two squares toward the room. The computer will swap king/rook positions automatically. (is that what you meant?)
