Well you see, back in the really olden days, before the internet became worldwide, people would actually have to email people files one by one, with actual typing, since they didn't have cybernetic brain implants then either, instead of just posting them on a website. And back then they didn't have digital 4D graphics either, so people would have to wear special glasses in order to see the pictures. Sometimes files could take whole seconds to load, because they had to use such primitive electricity-based non-quantum harddrives, so it was really a lot of trouble to get comics, but people would do it anyway because they were such total nerds.
